JKPC Sr. Leaders demands magisterial inquiry into the extrajudicial killing of Awantipora Teacher

People’s Conference Sr. Leader and Political advisor Rasheed Mahmood, Political Secretary Shahid Rashid, District President Irfan Matto and Organising Secretary Dawood Lodhi highly condemned the custodial death of 28 year old School teacher Rizwan Pandit, resident of Awantipora, Pulwama.

We condemn the alleged custodial torture of a Teacher, resident of Awantipora at the police station, district Srinagar that eventually caused his death. Third-degree’ [torture] is simply not acceptable and reflects poor professional skills,” the statement said.

We demand a time bound magisterial inquiry which needs to be thoroughly investigated to know who are responsible for his death in custody.
