Budgam Police solved blind murder case, arrested accused persons.

Srinagar, August 11: Police today claimed to have cracked blind murder case. In a statement police said that on 27.06.2018,  Gh. Mohammad Dar of Watkulu lodged a written complaint in Police station Char-i-Sharief regarding missing of his son namely Samir Ahmad Dar from 24.06.2018. Accordingly a missing report dated 27.06.2018 was lodged in Police station Char-i-Sharief.

Lateron, a dead body was found in irrigation Dam, Yousmarg on 10.07.2018 which was identified as that of Samir Ahmad Dar. Consequently inquest proceedings were initiated.

On the basis of evidence coming to the fore, a case FIR No. 43/2018 u/s 302 RPC was registered and investigation was initiated. While according priority to the matter, a SIT constituted under SDPO Khansahib Mohammad Aftab Awan including SI Showkat Ahmad as its member amongst others was constituted by District Police Office, Budgam.

During the course of investigation on the basis of evidence collected, Police has found the role and involvement of three persons namely Shahid Ahmad Dar S/O Gh. Mohammad Dar R/O Nasarpora Shopian, (2) Habibullah Dar S/O Gh. Qadir Dar R/O Doonkulpathri (3) Shahid Ahmad Dar S/O Gh. Mohammad Dar R/O Doonkulpathri in entire commission of crime. Investigation also revealed that the motive for commission of crime was a grudge against deceased, on account of affair of deceased with sister of one of the accused.

After following the due procedure of law, the investigation report would be submitted before the competent Court of law for trial by Budgam Police.
