UJC condemns attacks in Sri Lanka

United Jihad Council (UJC) on Thursday condemned the attack in Church and Hotels in Sri Lanka, saying that all those involved in the act cannot be Muslims.

In an e-mailed statement issued to KNS, UJC spokesman Syed Sadaqat Husain quoted the outfit chief, Syed Salah-ud-din said, “Islam is a religion of peace and nobody can even think of attacks like this. Islam never permits anyone to kill an innocent.”

He added that “the way humanity was killed; it can only be termed as brutal. Anti-Islam people are behind the act and Muslims are being defamed by such kind of acts.”

UJC chief also paid tributes to the slain militants who were killed in an encounter with forces in Bijbehara area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.(KNS)
