Raja Aijaz also expressed sorrow over the incident and supported the demand for tunnel to Karnah. “I am extremely pained to hear about the unfortunate loss of precious lives. Pressing on the demand for tunnel to Karnah, Raja Aijaz said that “The road from Kupwara to Karnah, especially Sandhna Top, is prone to avalanches. Construction of a tunnel to Karnah will mitigate the hardships of people to a large extent and make travel accessible without people having to go through the risk of taking this route.”
Raja Aijaz also appealed to the residents of Karnah to follow district administration directives on traffic movement to avoid any future mishaps.
